Who we are
Coloured Art Studio is a collective of parents, teachers, community activists, and working artists united by a shared love for the arts and a passion for providing a unique educational experience to underserved communities—the very neighborhoods where we were raised. We believe these communities deserve a one-of-a-kind creative learning space.
The studio was born during the pandemic in response to the urgent need for students to have a creative outlet in challenging times. Adversity is deeply woven into the fabric of our community’s story, and the pandemic magnified these struggles, particularly in underserved areas. Determined to bring relief, joy, and inspiration, we launched a virtual art program via Zoom, which became a resounding success.
Encouraged by the positive feedback from students and their families, we turned our focus to addressing the broader issue of art education accessibility within our community and across the Los Angeles area. Over the past four years, we have delivered engaging art lessons, high-quality materials, and compassionate instruction to schools, learning centers, daycares, and community events throughout Greater Los Angeles.
Now, we are thrilled to work toward our ultimate vision: establishing a dedicated Art Studio and community gathering space. This will be a transformative milestone, allowing us to create a nurturing environment where young artists and their families can flourish. Our dream is to build a hub of creativity and connection—a place where art and community come together to inspire and uplift.
