What do we do …….

Art Classes

Coloured Art Studio is a comprehensive Arts Education program offering inclusive art classes to students and families who may not have had prior access to such opportunities. Our curriculum is designed to accommodate a diverse demographic, fostering not only artistic skills but also cultural awareness and life experiences. Through a blend of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) principles and free expression, students engage in a journey of self-discovery and exploration. Our program emphasizes the importance of community, empathy, and creative problem-solving, empowering students to cultivate their unique artistic voices.

Community Events

At Coloured Art Studio, our commitment extends beyond the classroom as we actively engage with our communities. We take pride in organizing vibrant and inclusive art-centered family events, catering to all ages and fostering an environment of shared enjoyment. Through collaborative art projects and interactive games, we cultivate neighborhood involvement and strengthen community bonds. Our programs harness the transformative potential of art to enrich public spaces, instill community pride, and encourage social cohesion among residents. Providing a welcoming and supportive environment, we invite families of diverse backgrounds and abilities to explore, experiment, and create enduring memories together through art.

School / Learning Center Partnerships

Coloured Art Studio emerged during the pandemic in response to the evident need among students for a creative outlet during challenging times. Encouraged by the program's success and the enthusiastic response from students, we embarked on a thorough examination of access to art education within our local neighborhood and throughout greater Los Angeles. While awaiting the opportunity for a dedicated studio space, we have been privileged to collaborate with numerous partner schools, learning centers, and community events, delivering our art lessons alongside a blend of engaging materials and compassionate instructors.

Our approach prioritizes an enjoyable learning experience, rooted in an art curriculum aligned with California Standards. With a deliberate focus on minority students, we introduce them to a diverse range of contemporary artists who authentically represent their backgrounds. Our lessons extend beyond artistic skill development to encompass Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), cognitive development, and empathy-building practices.
